The Torqeedo Cruise 12.0 R is the electric outboard that the rest of the segment is measured against. A 12 kW peak / 6 kW continuous brushless DC motor, equivalent thrust to a 9.9 hp gas outboard at full load and roughly 25 hp on hole shot, paired with Torqeedo's lithium battery family (Power 24-3500 at 3.5 kWh, or the larger 48 V Deep Blue battery for fixed installations). The R variant is the remote-throttle version, the T is the tiller. Build quality is German-industrial: aluminum alloy housing, IP67 rating on the powerhead, magnesium-anode protection on saltwater-spec versions. Software is the differentiator.
