These are the supercars of the wake world. Pavati Boats bills itself as the purveyor of the most premium wakeboarding experience money can buy. These are custom-built, all-aluminum, luxury ski and wake boats loaded with technology and upgraded features.
Headquartered in Oregon, Pavati has long been a producer of aluminum vessels. The company also makes aluminum drift boats designed for river fishing. The first wakeboats have been turning heads since 2013, the brainchild of brand founder Chuck Gros.
The result is likely the most over-the-top, powerful luxury wakeboarding boats on the market. Their products are aimed at the very top segment of the market and priced accordingly. So, while you’re not likely to see a Pavati on your home lake anytime soon, they’re still the boat of many a thrill-seeking wakeboarders dreams.
What Makes Pavati Wakesboats Different?
While it once was the realm of the simple inboard ski boat, anyone shopping for a tow boat today is not wanting for more choice. You can find anything from a cheap and simple boat that gets the job done to a top-of-the-line superboat. Or, in car parlance, you can get everything from a Ford to a Bugatti.
If it’s the Bugatti of wakeboats that you’re after, then you’ll want a Pavati. Like the Italian supercar, these custom aluminum boats are seldom seen in the wild yet are widely known. They feature shockingly high sticker prices and little hints of luxury that make every other boat seem as boring as bran flakes. Cases in point, standard chilled cupholders or an optional illuminated pole for dance parties.
A boat like this is all about the look. One glimpse of a Pavati, and you know instantly what you’re looking at. A triple-point “pickle fork” bow, sharp edges, a massive tower, and custom graphics all clearly make it a unique sight.
But the beauty of a Pavati is more than skin deep. They’re one of the few wakeboats made with 100-percent aluminum construction. What’s more, they’re made of heavy-gauge aluminum, with some parts more than one inch thick and nothing less than a quarter inch. To say it’s a rugged boat is an understatement. The company drives the point home by hitting deadheads and running them up on rocky beaches with nigh a care in the world.

So the hulls are built like tanks, but then there’s the power and technology that Pavati packs into these beasts.
First, the powerplant. Pavati uses Indmar’s Raptor 575 engines coupled to a V-drive spinning a four-blade Acme propeller. The 6.2-liter V-8 is built from the same engine as the Ford F-series pickup trucks, producing 575 horsepower and 580 lb-ft of torque.
For those who crave even more, upgrading to the 650-horsepower, 650 lb-ft Marine Power LT4 SportPac direct-injection engine costs $12,500.
To help the single-engine inboard boat handle any docking situation, Pavatis come standard with both bow and stern thrusters. The thrusters have a docking position hold feature, which is very helpful with loading or getting the trailer ready.
All wraps and paintwork are entirely custom, as are the designs for the triple-layer foam flooring and premium upholstery. In the end, no two Pavatis are alike. The design includes a Heliarc power tower with built-in lighting, a remote PTZ camera, ten speakers, dual swiveling board racks, and shade biminis.
Options include tower misters, dual seven-inch Garmin touchscreen controls (one on each side), dual 32-inch forward-facing light bars, and a removable clear dance pole that lights with the boat’s RGB entertainment system.
Cutting-Edge Technology and Features of Pavati Luxury Wakeboarding Boats
Everything about a Pavati is designed for the utmost in bespoke luxury. The premium upholstery has heated seats, and heated bow seats are an option. Every fabric and stitch can be customized to get the look you want. You can also upgrade to marinized Alcantara suede for a more premium experience.
There are 21 cup holders (18 of which are lighted and three are chilled and heated), plus a fully custom Wet Sounds stereo system with 18 speakers. To that, you can add must-haves like the upgraded underwater lighting package, a Side Bar electric drink dispenser, or an in-floor refrigerated cooler. There are cubbies with wireless chargers and plenty of storage to keep your loose items out of the way.
But all this is moot if it doesn’t make a clean, surfable wave. Pavati’s Rip Tide surf system is fully integrated into the 22-inch Garmin multifunction display they call the Command Center. The system is comprised of a large quick plane trim tab, two large surf tabs that can displace up to 2,000 pounds of water and a dynamic wake trim system.
Additionally, Pavati boats have incredibly large internal ballast tanks that fill and drain quickly. The AL24 can add up to 4,888 pounds, and the AL26 can add up to 5,988 pounds of ballast to cut the deepest wake possible.
Is Pavati’s Premium Wakeboarding Experience Worth the Price?
At over half a million dollars when fully equipped, a Pavati will not suit every boater’s budget. But thankfully, there are plenty of other high-performance, luxurious, and sporty ski and wake boats on the market. Not many of them have the Pavati’s pizzaze, but some of them, like the Malibu M242, come pretty close.
Of course, its rugged aluminum construction makes the Pavati stand out. But the company is no longer alone in the aluminum tow sports boat market, either. Minnisotta-based Anthem Boats has two models, starting at half the price of a base Pavati. Anthem boats feature a tactical support vessel loading ramp for fun beach-side activities.
