Origin and ownership
BOTE was founded in 2010 in Destin, Florida. The brand built around wide-platform fishing-friendly SUPs and grew through the 2010s.
The brand has stayed privately owned. Production has been managed at facilities in the US and Asia.
Design philosophy
BOTE SUPs use wide-platform shapes for fishing and crossover stability. HD construction is the hard-board line; HD Aero is the inflatable.
Accessory mount system supports rod holders, coolers, and motor mounts.
Used-market notes and known issues
Wide-platform shape stable for casting but trades against tracking on flat-water touring.
Accessory mount system supports BOTE-branded accessories; cross-brand compatibility limited.
Dealer network concentrated in Florida and coastal Southeast.
Hard-board and inflatable construction quality runs upper-mid tier.
Resale
BOTE holds resale at the upper-mid SUP average. Three-year depreciation runs 22 to 30 percent.
Where BOTE fits
Buyers cross-shop BOTE against Hobie SUP and Bonafide SUP on the fishing-platform segment. The argument is wide-platform stability and accessory mount system.
