Origin and ownership
Naish was founded in 1995 by Robby Naish in Hawaii. Robby Naish was a multi-time windsurf world champion and brought race-pedigree design to the brand.
The brand has stayed Naish-led and privately owned. Production happens at multiple facilities in Asia under Naish design oversight.
Design philosophy
Naish uses multiple construction architectures: EPS-fiberglass and carbon for hard boards; fusion and carbon-rail for inflatable. Robby Naish design oversight drives the shape design.
Hawaiian design aesthetic across the lineup.
Used-market notes and known issues
Hard-board EPS construction requires UV protection in salt-heavy storage.
Inflatable carbon-rail construction at 22 PSI.
Dealer network concentrated in coastal-luxury markets.
Multi-discipline use case (SUP, windsurf, kite) supports cross-product accessory compatibility.
Resale
Naish holds resale tightly in the premium SUP segment. Three-year depreciation runs 18 to 25 percent.
Where Naish fits
Buyers cross-shop Naish against Starboard, SIC, and Red Paddle Co on the premium SUP segment. The argument is Robby Naish design heritage and Hawaiian aesthetic.
