Origin and ownership
Fliteboard was founded in 2018 by David Trewern in Byron Bay, Australia. The brand built premium production eFoils alongside Lift and grew through 2019 to 2022 as the segment expanded.
Production has stayed in Australia. Ownership has stayed private.
Design philosophy
Fliteboard uses modular board, foil-wing, and mast architecture similar to Lift. The Air Inflatable adds a unique inflatable-board option.
Lithium-ion battery pack with quick-swap design.
Used-market notes and known issues
Battery pack replacement at 5 to 7 years is a $3,500 to $5,000 cost item.
Mast and foil-wing service interval is 100 hours.
Inflatable board service requires periodic seam-bond inspection.
Dealer network concentrated in Australia, Europe, and parts of the US.
Resale
Fliteboard holds resale tightly in the eFoil segment, slightly softer than Lift in the US market. Three-year depreciation runs 20 to 28 percent.
Where Fliteboard fits
Buyers cross-shop Fliteboard against Lift on the production eFoil segment. The argument is Australian build and the unique inflatable-board option. Buyers who prioritize US dealer support should look at Lift.
