Origin and ownership
Bennington was founded in 1997 in Elkhart, Indiana. The brand grew through the 2000s and 2010s as the pontoon segment expanded into premium territory.
Polaris Industries acquired the parent (Boat Holdings) in 2018, consolidating Bennington alongside Hurricane and Godfrey under one corporate roof. Production stayed in Elkhart through the ownership transition.
Design philosophy
Bennington tritoons use a center log with a deeper draft than the outer tubes, which gives the boat a tighter cornering response and better tow-sport tracking.
Yamaha and Mercury are both factory rigging options. Suzuki is occasionally available.

Where Bennington fits
Buyers cross-shop Bennington against Manitou, Harris, and Barletta at the premium pontoon segment. The argument is segment-leading fit-and-finish and Polaris-supported service. Buyers who prioritize entry pricing should look at Sun Tracker or Tahoe.
