Origin and ownership
Lowe was founded in 1971 in Missouri. Brunswick acquired the brand in 1992 and consolidated production at the Lebanon facility, which is shared with Sun Tracker.
Production has stayed in Missouri throughout. Brunswick has owned the brand since 1992.
Design philosophy
Lowe pontoons use standard twin-tube or tritoon architecture. The brand differentiates on value pricing rather than novel hull design.
Mercury outboard is the dominant rigging through the Brunswick parent.
Used-market notes and known issues
Pre-2018 wood-cored decks on Lowe pontoons can absorb water, replace at survey if cored deck shows moisture.
Mercury 150 four-stroke corrosion patterns apply to brackish-water-stored hulls.
Cushion vinyl on 2017 to 2019 hulls shows delamination.
Brunswick dealer network supports nationwide service.
Resale
Lowe holds resale at the value-tier average. Three-year depreciation runs 28 to 35 percent. Five-year depreciation runs 42 to 50 percent.
Where Lowe fits
Buyers cross-shop Lowe against Sun Tracker, Tahoe, and the entry trim of Crest. The argument is the Brunswick parts pipeline at value-tier pricing.
